I created a new VS2010 Beta2 ClassLibrary project, created a dataconnection in ServerView of VS2010 with SQLServer2008's Northwind database. I then added the CSharpDataClasses.tt and L2ST4.ttinclude files in the project from the folder l2st4-36036. The project
location is "C:\Workspace\Abstractions\src\TestCodeGeneration"
I added the LinqtoSql designer file and named it Northwind.dbml and set its build action to None and then dragged the Customer table from the server view to the desginer surface. Then renamed the CSharpDataClasses.tt to Northwind.tt, and got the following error!
Warning 1 The path 'C:\Workspace\Abstractions\src\TestCodeGeneration\L2ST4.ttinclude' must be either local to this computer or part of your trusted zone. C:\Workspace\Abstractions\src\TestCodeGeneration\Northwind.tt 0 0
Error 2 Failed to resolve include text for file:The path 'C:\Workspace\Abstractions\src\TestCodeGeneration\L2ST4.ttinclude' must be either local to this computer or part of your trusted zone. C:\Workspace\Abstractions\src\TestCodeGeneration\Northwind.tt 0 0
Error 3 Loading the include file 'L2ST4.ttinclude' returned a null or empty string. The transformation will not be run. C:\Workspace\Bress\Abstractions\src\TestCodeGeneration\Northwind.tt 5 6
I thought its a security issue, so googled and tried the following solution from the URL "http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vssetup/thread/5065fd7c-f2ed-4ddc-8242-19c0eda2a1a1
From the command prompt, >caspol -m -ag 1.2 -url C:\Workspace\Abstractions\src* FullTrust
Restarted the VS2010 Beta2, but got the same problems as mentioned above.
I then added the LinqToSql item from CodeGeneration section of VS2010, and dragged the customers table to the designer surface in the very same project, and it worked. So, whats the deal with the other template files which is making it not work, am i missing
any step? As far as i can tell, i followed the steps mentioned to run this template accurately. I have attached the sample project as well.
